Majid Forghani-Elahabad earned his doctoral degree in Operations Research in 2014, and currently is an assistant professor of Applied Mathematics at the Federal University of ABC, Brazil. His research endeavors are primarily focused on system reliability, network optimization, and optical networks. He presided and participated in many research projects, and has more than 50 publications. He aslo holds editorial positions in eight international journals and has an extensive record as a reviewer, and has reviewed more than 150 papers for over twenty-nine esteemed international journals, including IEEE Transactions on Reliability, Reliability Engineering & System Safety, Computers & Industrial Engineering, and Expert Systems with Applications.
