On May 16-17, 2023 Beijing time, the 15th International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Management (ICIEM) has been successfully held through the online conference platform. The conference is hosted by Global Education Career Centre (GECC), co-organized by the International Association of Management Science & Engineering Technology (IAMSET). The 15th International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Management focuses on the broad topic of industrial engineering and management, bringing together experts and scholars in related fields from home and abroad to discuss Industrial Internet, Automation and control systems, Engineering, electrical and electronics, Engineering, environment, Engineering, manufacturing, Operations research and management, Logistics engineering, Information systems and Human factors engineering.

At 9:30 am on May 17, 2023 Beijing time, the conference started. At the beginning of the conference, Prof. Rami Al-Hadeethi, Chairman of the Conference and the Leader of Industrial Engineering Thematic Leader, Education Society Chapter, IEEE United Kingdom and Ireland Section, gave an opening speech. Prof. Rami Al-Hadeethi expressed his welcome to all of you. Experts and scholars are encouraged to explore innovative ideas, identify emerging trends, and discuss practical challenges and solutions during the conference. Afterwards, Prof. Dima Jamali, the Honorary Chairman of the conference and Dean of the College of Business Administration at the University of Sharjah, UAE, also delivered the opening speech, expressing sincere welcome and gratitude to the experts and scholars from home and abroad. The conference provides a platform for the exchange and sharing of knowledge, experience and research results, promotes interdisciplinary collaboration through exciting discussions and insightful presentations, paves the way for the experts and scholars to make breakthroughs progress and contributes in their respective fields.
Keynote Speakers
Dozens of keynote speakers gave presentations and shared their research findings in this conference.
During the keynote speech, Prof. Yuanchung Lin from the Institute of Environmental Engineering, National Sun Yat-sen University, first shared the report titled “Bio-fuel technology for net zero emission”.
Associate Professor Bingsong Tang from Zhejiang Guangsha Vocational and Technical University of Construction gave a presentation entitled “Contractual Governance for Dispute Resolution and Construction Sustainability: Case Studies from China”.
Dr. Vivek Kumar Singh from Centre for Science, Technology and Policy Research of India gave a presentation entitled "Biofuels (Methanol) versus Electric Vehicles: Opportunities and Challenges in India" with participants.
Dr. Rudra Sankar Pal from Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Prof. Upadhyay Darshit from Nirma University, India, and Prof. Rabiya Nasir from the University of Lahore, Pakistan, expressed presentations entitled “An overview of maximum power point tracking based on metaheuristic optimizations for photovoltaic system”, “Investigations on Influence of Catalyst and Steam on Performance of a fixed bed gasifier with Lignite Feedstock”, and “Emission Reduction Analysis of Greenhouse Gases using Energy Modeling for Power Sector of Punjab”.
Prof. Dima Jamali, the Honorary Chairman of the conference and Dean of the College of Business Administration at the University of Sharjah, UAE, gave a presentation entitled “Changes in Higher Education: Sustainability in Focus”.
Dr. Gayas Ahmad from Aligarh Muslim University, India, expressed a report entitled “Impact of Environmental Social Governance (ESG) on Environmental Performance”.
Prof. Ümit ÜNVER, Head of the Department of Thermodynamics at Yalova University, Turkey, expressed the presentation entitled “Energy Efficiency: Definition, Importance, and Efforts”.
Prof. Himanshu Sharma from the University of Greenwich, London, UK, gave a presentation entitled “Future of Renewable Energy Systems”.
Dr. Ogbeibu Samuel from University of Bradford, UK, shared a report entitled “Responsible innovation in organisations–unpacking the effects of leader trustworthiness and organizational culture on employee creativity”.
The experts' reports were profound and colorful, which benefited the participants.

After the keynote speaker's presentation, Prof. Rami Al-Hadeethi, Chairman of the Conference and the Leader of Industrial Engineering Thematic Leader, Education Society Chapter, IEEE United Kingdom and Ireland Section, delivered the closing speech for the conference, expressing warm congratulations on the success of the conference!
The 15th International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Management (ICIEM2023) has set up a good platform for experts and scholars from all over the world to carry out full and in-depth discussions on hot issues, key technologies and latest achievements in the field of industrial engineering and management, and plays a positive role in promoting the technical research and academic development in related fields. The online conference also took the form of simultaneous live broadcast on multiple platforms, which attracted the attention of many teachers and students.
